Right here is just what you have been looking for!!! He checks ALL the boxes… Big, Stout, Broke, Gentle, Quiet, Drives, Great on Trails… Diamond is a do-it-all kind of horse!!! He is a STOUT 16hh, 6-year-old, Black, Friesian Draftcross (Percheron ¾ X Friesian ¼) gelding weighing 1400lbs. He has a beautiful curly mane and tail with some feathering on his legs. Since owning Diamond, we have done a little bit of everything with him, ponied wild colts, roped calves in the pen, trail rode him… you name it, and he will surely be gentle enough to do it. He has been ridden around the ranch, and he was used for various tasks, from checking fences to checking cows. Diamond has been used as a camp horse and ridden by beginners. His favorite speed is slow and easy. Although he will pick up and lope, he is not in a hurry to go anywhere. He has lots of trail miles. He will cross creeks, ditches, and logs and navigate rough, rocky areas. He is safe in traffic safe, whether that be trucks or cars. Diamond has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere he is asked. He has been ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed.
