4-year-old Haflinger gelding that I have personally broke and trained from the ground up. We run a 1000 head cow/calf operation and Pendleton has been seasoned well in our daily activities. He is proficient in lateral work, allowing us to open gates off of him easily. He has crossed a variety of terrain and bodies of water with ease and is broke to the whip as well. We rope and one man doctor off of him with ease, and he holds the rope quietly. He’s been pushed on by bulls and kept cowboys safe by keeping upset mama cows at bay. I’ve also ridden him on countless trails near the highway, and he also attended his first working equitation clinic. We also team rope and he’s roped live and the sled on the heel side with ease, he’s steady in the box and hunts a corner quite well.
He holds steady under pressure and his fun attitude makes him an absolute joy to ride. He will make someone one heck of a horse, no matter what he’s asked to do. He rides bareback and has the mane and tail to die for. I love this gelding and can’t wait to watch him become the partner no matter what he does.
