A Big Rip aka “Rip” is named after the famous Yellowstone character because of his rugged good looks. This “Rip” won’t take you to the train station though! He’s as sweet and gentle as they come. He’s a 8 years old, 16.2 hand a 1400lb teddy bear. He always wants attention and he will meet you at the gate. Rip has a lot of chrome and his four tall white stockings on his feathered feet are to die for. He wears a size 5 shoe. He turns heads and people ask about him wherever we take him. He’s super easy to trim, shoe, bathe, saddle, bridle, load, etc. Rip craves attention, whether it’s someone braiding his mane, or a child riding him. He is okay with gunfire, whips, flags, loud traffic, tarps, and whatever comes his way. Like a true gentleman Rip stands to mount, and goes on to give you a leisurely ride. Despite his size, he is very sure footed and versatile, making him an amazing all-around horse. We have ridden this big boy English and Western, bareback, out on the trails, in the arena, or any direction you point him. O think he would excel in the dressage ring with his gorgeous gaits. Rip has a nice handle. He has a nice stop and steps over nicely on his turns. He also wants to be very soft and agile for a horse his size. On the trails, he will willingly ride out alone, up in front, or in the back. He calmly crosses creeks, steps over logs, or anything else you ask him to cross. Rip even knows how to lay down on command which comes in handy for easy mounting. He is up to date on everything and he’s guaranteed sound. We have had him on many trail rides in all kinds of terrain and he was outstanding.
