Chief is an outstanding 6 year old Appaloosa gelding! Standing 15.1 hands and weighing approximately 1100 pounds! He is our GO TO horse in the barn! Anything you want to do on horseback he has done or will be willing to try! If you know the basics of riding you can get along with this horse! He is truly a horse that you can ride one handed! He has a smooth neck rein, takes his leads well, backs up, and will side pass to the mailbox! He is gentle in the pasture with other horses, easy to catch, and will also stall just fine! Chief has been used in the sorting pen, as well as been used to turn back cattle at the stockyards! He is a MASTER on the trails! He will walk over logs, through water, and up and down the hollers! He has been ridden by people of all ages and experience! He is truly an all around horse! He tacks up well tied or untied and is a very laid back guy! He is prime aged and has seen a lot of different scenery! He is built to last you a long time as your number one horse! We have enjoyed the time we have spent with Chief and we are eager to find him a new home where they can enjoy him like we have!
