Kit has mainly been used for Sorting, Penning and Ranch Rodeo. She sure likes to pin those ears at those cows. A couple of years ago she moved to my secondary horse and soon was taken over by my husband (complete novice) and daughter (can ride, but still young) as their sorting horse. This summer I took first on her in penning, my daughter won the MNSCHA buckle in sorting, and with her help I placed 2nd in the MNSCHA 2 class for year-end. Kit is not an open level sorting horse, she does well for a beginner to intermediate. Although, I am no barrel racer, she did compete a few weeks ago and did great! She is my go-to horse for Ranch Rodeo with her open speed and you can rope off her. She can sit for months and rides out the exact same horse, no funny business.

Kit’s accomplishments are countless, and she is good both in and out of the arena. She has been on many camping trips and trail rides perfectly for any level of rider. With all of Kit’s greatness comes her “specialness”. Kit has stringhalt, it is noticeable in the hind legs when she walks. She has had this for the 4 years I have owned her but know there is no added maintenance.

As you see in the video, Kit slows down for a complete notice to walk/trot or she opens up easily to go fast when asked. Only reason for selling is that daughter bought another step-up horse.
