Meet Goldie, a 14 year-old Kentucky Mountain Mare standing at 15’1hh and built exceptionally well. Goldie is the definition of gentle and safe. We have used this sweet mare for absolutely anyone around the barn that has wanted to ride. From experienced horseman to people who have never ridden, Goldie is easy to enjoy. We have had all the kiddos on her, ages ranging from 3-12 and she has done perfectly for each one. As shown in the video, Goldie can handle guns firing, kids riding bicycles, and running around and under her. Goldie would make an exceptional horse for your children to build their confidence on, or for anyone to just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. Goldie will ride in the front, back or middle of the group. She is sure-footed, easily trusted and takes her time. Goldie has been taken on overnight camping trips, where she stands perfectly on a picket-line or tied to the trailer. She is quiet in the cross ties, stalled or turned out with other horses.
