It is known for its strength and sturdy build, with most horses standing between 15 to 17 hands high and weighing up to 1,800 pounds. As a result of this strength, they are used for various heavy-duty tasks such as farming and logging, but they can also be ridden or harnessed for light work like show competition or pleasure riding.
