In excellent used condition, this is a lovely Hennig Sofa dressage saddle with external knee blocks, suitable for riders with a long thigh and a straight leg. Very comfortable due to the ergonomic design of the saddle, balancing the rider correctly. Although this saddle is marked M for a medium width fitting, we estimate that it’s actual width is currently wide to XW and may have been adjusted. Wool flocked.
The tree points of a Hennig are angled backward to free the horse’s shoulder. The tree can be adjusted by a qualified saddler to virtually any width or shape of tree opening. … A Hennig saddle is the ultimate in comfort for you and your horse.
In the region of the ischial tuberosity and the pubis, the corresponding parts of the saddle tree are recessed and replaced by a special foam filling.
Thanks to the patented division and widening of the saddle tree in the rear third, Hennig was able to interrupt the pressure axis created during riding. Weight and pressure is transmitted as required only in the cross-buttock axis. This allows the desired shock absorption and thus back-friendly riding for horse and rider. These saddles have a widened support surface (cushion) with a chamber course of at least 6-7 cm.
The right situation on horseback is crucial!
We note the horse type, square or rectangular shape. It is important that the center of gravity of the saddle is oriented in such a way that the horseshoe cross-axis of the horseshoe is in the area of the vertical spinous processes. This assumes that regardless of the seat size, the saddle length must be adjusted to the horse’s back.
