He's been in charge of night security for 7 yrs but needs a real job

John Henry was saved by our rescue 7 yrs ago. He had been treated horribly by humans and was terrified. We were told that he rode and drove at the time but we don't do either - we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome. He's been a pasture pal and helped to ward off coyotes here for 7 years but we're closing due to age & health soon and need to find him a proper home. We had a professional trainer evaluate him last year and he did everything he was asked under saddle perfectly without hesitation. He's still hesitant of people but will follow you around for a handful of sweet feed and likes to be brushed once he trusts you. He has been untouched for several years so I would not put a beginner on him. However, an experienced rider could do well with him trail riding. He's not afraid of water or obstacles. He's an amazing pasture guardian. John Henry hates being stall kept but needs shelter if pasture kept.
