Utah Man Reunited With Horse After 8 Years Apart
News General Equestrian
I'm getting ready to send her off to be broke to ride. If interested in her at the posted price, please contact me ASAP. Once I send her to training, her price will go up.
She wants to follow her humans around and just be loved on. Very docile mare for the whole family to show love to. She would make a beautiful riding and drive mare, she's lived with cattle and at times has "chased" them "just because" so there may be potential there for a working cattle/ranch horse, trails, pleasure, even dressage, or whatever discipline you are wanting to experiment her with.
She just had her first baby the end this May, a perfectly built all black stud colt, and she has been a phenomenal momma. Zero complications with pregnancy or delivery.
She can be bred to my blue roan stud for an additional fee, if buyer chooses to, and if it's too late to do so this year, she can be returned to me for live covered next year.**Details can be worked out with Buyer."
She is "queen" in the pecking order of my herd but isn't mean to others, she's also not "mare-ish". I would give her temperament a 3 or 4 simply because she's not broke to ride yet.
She was born here on our farm so I have raised her her whole life. She is "nosey", but in a loving way, and very interested in what's going on, intrigued by her surroundings. She is known to open doors with her head if left cracked open, likes to assist with repairing fences by picking up tools you set down and shows her love by laying her head on your shoulder and keeping it there, waiting to be shown the same affection. She truly is a total love bug and the whole family will become her best friend.
From what I see, I believe that she will not be a lazy mare and she will have a lot of go in her. She has no vices
I allow my herd to be horses and to enjoy life so they are out on pasture 24/7 but usually have access to a barn and stalls whenever they choose. She chooses the pasture except when it's really hot in the summer where she enjoys coming into a stall to stand under fans. However, bc she is pastured, a lot of her feather stays "burned" off. It's in her genes to have lots of feather and mane and I have photos showing her in the past with lots of feather.
She is clear of PSSM1 and FIS and have that from the lab. She also is homozygous black, meaning she'll always throw a black based offspring and she's nT, meaning 50% of the time she'll throw an offspring with the tobiano pattern. She is that desirable more black than white tobiano pattern, about 75% of her is black with only 25% of her is white, and she is beautifully marked.
Nala was my first born gypsy baby born on our farm so she is pretty special to me. I will be particular where she goes as this has been a difficult decision for me to make but I have decided to change up my breeding program a bit, so that has meant I need to find her a superior home where she will be truly loved and well cared for.
She is located in Missouri and interested parties are welcome to come meet her in person. I know a very good and reputable transport so I would be happy to try to help make arrangements for that but transport is buyers financial responsibility.
A short payment plan is possible with her but she would stay on my farm until paid for in full.
