    About

Independence is a 6year old Spotted Saddle Horse. She stands at 15.2 hands. She has always been barefoot and has been trimmed every six weeks without fail and is ok for the farrier. She loads on a trailer without issue. She loves people and attention. Coggins pulled in February, UTD on shots, Teeth floated this past December.

Indy is being offered for sale as a project horse through no fault of her own. Prior to our taking her on she had professional training as a 2-3 year old through Lilly Pond Foal Rescue and then was worked with intermittently by her adopter until she came to us at the age of 5. We put her through 30 days of professional training last spring and was worked with a couple of times a week until winter by our children and their trainer. She has sat for most of the winter. Unfortunately for Indy our children have their own personal horses and Indy is not being given the one-on-one consistency she needs to be brought along. She really needs her own person who has the time to take on a project and is a confident and knowledgeable rider to give her what she needs to gain confidence. She is a gaited horse but her gait has not been refined yet. She’s been primarily worked with in a ring but was taken on a trial ride late this past fall and did AMAZING.
