Thank you for your interest!
This beautiful, sweet natured gelding is everyone’s dream to have in the barn. He has great ground manners, stands tied all day, good in a stall and paddock/pasture board. He stands perfect for saddling and is easy to bridle. He is not barn or buddy sour.
Sound with no maintenance needed. No bite, kick, rear, or buck. No vices, either. He stands well for the vet and farrier and is very easy to catch. He loves bathes, often times putting his face into the hose water, and also plays in the water in his pasture when we get lots of rain. Gentle, sane, and willing!
Jaxon has been used for indoor and outdoor arena riding and trail riding. Lunges very well, is respectful and quietly transitions through his gaits. He rides out alone or with the group and can be put in the front, middle, or back of the group. He has seen some traffic, as well. This summer, he was used for week long horse camps with 16-17yo’s. He will go over the tarp and has done some fun show type obstacles and games.
Jaxon is responsive and moves off of leg pressure, I would say he is best suited with a advanced beginner in the arena and intermediate rider on trails. He listens and acknowledges his riders energy. He will move through his gaits willingly and rides western or english. I feel Jaxon could go any direction, sport horse, husband horse, dressage, trail gelding, lesson program, etc. He’s such a willing boy!
He is up to date on cares, has had no health issues, teeth checked in spring, 4 in 1 vaccination and deworming completed. He was purchased by his owner 2 yrs ago sight unseen from Maryland and the connection that was hoped for hasn’t quite been made. She has purchased another (smaller) horse that she prefers riding and he deserves more consistent attention and love.
