Flint is the most trained quarter pony I have had in my barn. He rides like that of a finished cutter. With his stout build and size, he is a horse that an adult or youth rider can enjoy. He has a lot of buttons and can move around very fancy, but he will ride simplistically as well for a rider who isn’t as experienced. He would ideally fit an intermediate - experienced youth or small adult best. Flint has experience both in the arena and out on the trails and ranch. His experience in the arena ranges from time spent working the cutting flag and sorting to going around the barrels to dry arena work. He is fun and willing no matter what is on the agenda for the day. He is one of the most trainable horses I’ve ridden. He retains training impressively. Flint is good minded and quiet and does just as well in settings outside the arena as he does in the arena. He trails rides quietly and will travel out alone or in a group. He gets along well with others and can travel in any position within a group. He is accustomed to our heavily treed swamp-like woods and large pastures here at home. In these settings while trail riding, he has been exposed to tight and heavily wooded areas with thick brush, crossing water, boggy areas, crossing creeks with steep sides and of course all kinds of wildlife. We have also used Flint to help check and gather our cattle here at home and check fences. Flint is a super neat pony and the options with him are absolutely endless. As broke as he is and as big as he stops we feel he would excel as a breakaway horse or in the sorting pen very well, but he is happy and content to do anything asked of him and would suit a performance life or a more relaxed life equally well. Flint is absolutely sound in every way. He is an easy keeper, is barefoot and has no special needs. Vet checks are welcome at buyers expense. We can assist with helping arrange hauling anywhere within the country.
