Dax is not only gorgeous, but he is a solid trail horse who is looking for an intermediate rider that enjoys a forward, ahead of the leg kind of ride. Dax has been ridden in the North country of the Moss Foundation trails for the past 4 years and has proven to be a wonderful trail horse alone or with friends; he crosses water, ditches and logs without hesitation. He loves to be out on the trail! He has been ridden in western and english tack, goes in a hackamore or snaffle bit, and knows how to neck rein! Dax has a solid forward walk that keeps up with the gaited horses, a big lofty trot, and a strong canter for going up hills. Not only is he flashy with his white socks and white blanket, but he is a beautiful mover! He knows how to collect, knows lateral work, has a great stop and back up. No spook, buck, kick, or rear. He stands quietly for grooming, tacking, mounting, baths, and the farrier. Dax is sound, has super clean legs, and has been barefoot for the past 4 years. He loads in the trailer easily and hauls quietly. Don't miss out on this guy!!!! He is currently being ridden 5-6 times a week and will continue to stay in work until he finds a new home.
Dax enjoys being groomed and loved on, and appreciates taking his person out on adventures. He is quiet in the field or in a stall. Dax is an easy keeper, does best on orchard/timothy grass, and is up to date on all vaccines, Coggins, and just had his teeth done. This boy is all ready to make his next person happy and hit the trails!!!
*selling for a client, Dax is a great horse but simply not the perfect match for his owner*
