Meet Clay a 15.1H, Red Roan Draftcross Gelding that is built like a tank! Clay has been one of our Mr. Reliable horses as he has been used to take on cow catching jobs. I just got back last week from Ohio where we caught 25 longhorns that were out running wild. Clay is a steady Eddie and no matter how rough the situation gets whether you have a mad bull rooting against his butt or a rope that gets ran through his back legs, Clay will hold his own and stay calm. Clay can do anything asked of him around the ranch, he will trail a cow and can sort pairs as well. Clay will go anywhere that you point him whether that is steep slopes, over deadfall, across rivers or rough terrain, he handles it with ease! He is a seasoned ranch horse that has been used at brandings, he has pasture roped countless cows. Clay is great on the trails and is slow and easy and never in a hurry. He lopes nice circles, has a good stop, and rides one handed. Clay does it all on the ranch or on the trails and if ou get the wild notion you can also throw your harness on him and go for a Sunday afternoon drive. Clay requires no maintenance and stays sound even with hard work.
