    The property is fenced and cross-fenced for pasturing horses and cows. It offers fun recreation, private camping, plenty of hunting woods, horseback riding and hiking trails, beginner snowboarding slope, and soon will be the setting for a wedding atop one of its magnificent picturesque hills.

    The hayfield is approximately 50 acres and has provided up to 160 first-cutting round bales to feed the horse and beef herds... then has been used as their pasture afterwards from mid-summer until the snow flies well into the fall. After that, the hayfield is closed to protect the crop. There is approx. 50 acres of other pasture with woods that the animals are turned out on.

    There is a large converted dairy barn that has six large horse stalls, including an approximate 14' x 14' foaling stall (with direct access to an outside door into one of the paddocks). Floors are all concrete. A wide center aisle provides plenty of room to move and cross-tie horses. Above is a huge hayloft to store hay for the winter months. The owner has kept the strong, cement-block silo standing for future use. The old "milkhouse" room of the barn has an entry door and exits into the main barn. It has been converted to a washroom with sink and storage space... a room off of that is used as a tack room. There is also a chicken hen house built inside a corner of the hayloft... it has a door that allows outside access.

    The barn also has a very large open area that is set up with hanging cages to house 48 show rabbits. This area offers more horse stall space (extra oak boards included). Another addition still has cow stantions that can be used or taken out for even more stall space. The barn was originally made in the 1890’s (approx.), with 1960’s and 1980’s additions.

    A separate barn is a few hundred feet from the house (down the road slightly from the main barn). It is located right next to the town-maintained road. It can be used for vehicle storage (or garage) downstairs or for another animal shelter. It has a hayloft upstairs.

    There are a total of three outdoor shelters within the paddocks, which all can be opened to lead out to the pasture when herds are run together in the spring, summer, and fall. A cow paddock includes a cattle shute for managing and separating cows. In addition, the animals find pleasure in spending hot days under plenty of wooded areas included in the pasture.

    The farm has been an annual “hunting lodge” for friends for years. Many tree stand locations are on the property, including an elevated wooden structure overlooking a big pasture area. All the others have great views within the woods and fields. Shooting ranges/views are plentiful and spread throughout the farm... so invite your friends!
