10yo Arabian mare, 15hh, amazing pedigree. Venus has traveled and competed all over the country and is a pro at all things travel and camping related. Due to my own ever changing schedule I never conditioned her all the way up to the 50 mile rides but we have been doing 25-30 milers and she has placed in Top 10 at every single one, usually either winning or getting close to winning Best Condition as well. We have also done Open Division competitive trail riding.

Venus is as sure footed as a horse can get and has safely carried me across all kinds of terrain, through traffic, parades, river crossings, and even down into the Grand Canyon and back up. Rides the same bitless or with a bit. Once she trusts you she will do anything for you but she does take her time deciding who to trust so she would do best with one experienced rider that she can bond with. She does great carrying kids and beginners on trails if I’m ponying her off my other horse and does lunge line lessons for them, knowing voice commands for changing gaits as needed, but since she tends to draw her confidence from her handler she does need someone experienced to be in charge for all of it so I don’t want to try to present her as a beginners’ horse. She has some spunk to her true to the breed but is easily manageable for an experienced person, no dangerous habits like bolting etc.

She is low maintenance all the way around and used to everything you can imagine. Farriers love her and she will hop in a trailer no questions asked, stands tied all day and will sleep on a high tie.

She is in her prime and athletic enough that she could easily be a star in endurance but I barely have time to ride let alone compete anymore and don’t see that changing anytime soon, so here’s an opportunity for a more dedicated rider to snatch up one hell of a partner that’s already got tons of experience under her belt.
