Meet Harley! Harley is an Arabian/Quarter Horse cross, approximately 6 years old (not registered), 15 hh, with a LOT of potential to be either a jam-up barrel or jumper horse. He had been started in saddle, and taken off property for trail rides and obstacle course work. Around Thanksgiving I hopped on him, not knowing he was in a lot of pain in his SI ligaments. Well, he took me for a rodeo, and I ended up on the ground. Being a "senior" rider, this caused me some injury that will prevent me from giving him the time he deserves. His ground manners are AWESOME. He loads with a bit of coaching, ties, stands for farrier and has an in-your-pocket personality. I have not been on him since his incident, but did have him vetted and had injections in his SI. He is not in pain any longer, and is ready to move forward with his new person. I have NOT been on him since he bucked me, but have continued ground work and have put almost my whole weight on his back, and he stood like an angel. He is UTD on everything, and has been VERY well cared for. The decision to let him go is NOT an easy one for me, and I will be VERY picky about who he goes with. He's worth it, believe me!
