Looking to find her perfect person quick!
PKT Katana is a super cute and in your pocket 2015 14.3 grade mare. Her dam was a reg Appy and sire was a grade QH.
Shes a “jack of all trades master of none”. Has seen a little bit of every discipline I could think to introduce her to with the resources we have. Shes seen some driving, liberty, mounted archery, trail riding, dressage, you name it. She’s a showmanship pro and could do it all with little to no tack!!
Extremely smart and easy to teach. BUT that being said she needs someone with a little more experience because she is so smart. She loves kids and is great for them on the ground, but does need someone with a more assertive body language who won’t let her cheat????.
Her drawbacks are that she does have some limitations under saddle. She’s unfortunately not built for a lot of high impact riding like consistent jumping or barrel racing. She also does prefer being around buddies. She’ll focus for you when you need her to, but she does much better around other horses and NEEDS to be turned out with other horses.
