We’ve used him for some cutting practice and sorting practice. Hauled out on trails.
He’s a fun energetic gelding. He’s one you can ride all day long. Neck reins, moves off feet, knows all his basic manners. Easy to walk trot lope. Good stop to him.
For the bad. He was getting hot headed when working cattle, we’ve switched feed and have noticed a big change over the past week, and he has toned it down. He is still manageable when hotheaded, he stays in your hands, just gets worked up. He will get cow fresh with you. He has only done it twice with me. Both times were during cutting practice. Never offered anything in the sorting practice or flag work. This being said, he is for an experienced rider only. I’ve gone weeks without riding him and I can saddle up and ride off without any issues.
