Everyone, I would like to introduce you to a nice young bucksin gelding named Chief!! Chief is a 14.3hh, 3 coming 4 year old, registered Tennessee Walking Horse gelding. Chief was owned by an older man that had every intention to make Chief his personal trail mount. He had sent Chief off to a trainer as a two year old for two months to have him started and after getting him back, he decided that at his age he didn’t need to be riding a green two year old. So he kicked Chief out with his older horses for about a year and then I was then given the opportunity to own this nice young horse. Since being here with me, I have put a solid 90 days of riding on him. We have trail rode him multiple times and taken countless trips down the road. We have also spent a lot of time on ground work with him from desensitizing to teaching him to yield his hindquarters and shoulders. He will also lunge both directions. Chief has always been very confident and easy to work with and he will go just about anywhere you point him. He has been my helpers "go to" trail horse since being here. He is very sure footed and has alot of grit. He loads, unloads and hauls quietly. He’s easy to catch and gets along with others. He does good with both being stalled and turned out and doesn’t weave or crib. He’s easy to saddle and bridle and is not cinchy. He’s not an in your pocket horse but not stand offish either. Chief is safe around traffic and atvs. He crosses creeks, mud puddles, and logs, all with ease.
