Ok, this is what I have so far:
The Alchemist aka Laddy is a GVHS registered 2008 purebred Gypsy Vanner stallion. He is about 15.1hh and PSSM1 negative. Laddy is a son of the very well known Clononeen Tumbleweed and his dam is Clononeen Polly making him a true Irish Cob! Laddy is a true all around horse that has been used not only as a breeding stallion but as a family horse, including being ridden double with children. He has the characteristic calm Gypsy demeanor and isn't bothered by much. He has been to the Michigan Horse Council expo at MSU many times. Laddy also was the special guest at an event for people with special needs that included loud music and being faced with large crowds!
Laddy can do it all! He has the potential for dressage and has schooled 1st level movements. Don't let his "dad bod" fool you, this boy loves to jump! He is very honest and brave over fences and has schooled cross country. Nice and smooth, easy to rate over fences, he would do well as a lower level event or hunt horse. More interested in driving? Laddy can do that too! He was broke to drive as a youngster and with a quick refresher, would make a super flashy driving horse! He loves variety, so he would probably love to do CDEs.
Looking for a herd sire? Your search ends here! Laddy has sired 4 purebred offspring, all by live cover (photos available). He would also produce high quality sport horses when crossed with other breeds! He passes on his excellent temperament, his substance, and athletic ability to his foals. Not to mention the HAIR! Worried about having to care for the hair? Don't be! Laddy lives 24/7 outside (with geldings!) with no special care and he still has ALL THE HAIR!
Laddy was inspected through Gypsy Vanner Horse Society at 4 years old and received a rating of 4 stars. He could be re-inspected and easily recieve a 5 star rating. He went to the 2013 Vanner Faire in Ontario where he was named reserve champion stallion in hand.
Laddy hops on and off any trailer without issue. He stands nicely for vet, farrier, and to be body clipped. He loves a bath and will fall asleep in the crossties while being brushed. Do you have a snack in your pocket? He'll follow you anywhere! He even has his own Facebook page.
