Lily is a 10 year old, Spotted Saddle Horse crossed with a draft horse standing a very stout 15.2 HH, she has a nice thick frame suitable to carry a larger rider. Lily is a dependable trail partner you can ride at ease without the worry of spooking, or acting nervous, She is the kind you wouldn’t mind putting any inexperienced rider on we consider her safe for most confident beginners. Lily is more on the flop along dead headed side & would be a great fit for someone looking for a confidence booster to trail ride! Lily has a smooth gait but honestly prefers to flat walk on a loose rein, she’s not the lazy always having to kick along type she just prefers to walk! Lily has been professional trained with natural horsemanship training she listens to all voice commands, canters, neckreins, stops instantly with a simple “woah”! This gal has never offered to spook or act nervous at anything new we have introduced her to like the flapping of tarps, whips being snapped at her head, fire crackers being let off of her you would think she’s been trained all her life at things of this nature, I would like to think Lily is the true meaning of a bomb proof horse! Lily has the best ground manners, you can crawl under her & handle her anyway & dont have to worry about her offering to kick or bite she absolutely loves attention! I know people worry of mares due to the traditional mareish attitude most people know of but this gal is the least ill acting critter we have had the pleasure of owning, We’ve never seen anything aggressive of this nature out of her no pinning her ears back, squealing, kicking, or biting! Lily has been used on a working cattle farm herding & working them throughout the weekend and on the weekends she was used as a seasoned trail horse in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, the past year Lily was on maternity leave so we have been refreshing her the past few months getting her back in shape & she has never done the first thing wrong, you would had never thought she’s been turned out to pasture pretty much untouched for a bit... You would had thought she’s been ridden on extensive trail rides daily with the attitude she has! Lily is a true trail horse deluxe taking her time with each step in rough rugged trails! If your looking for a honest good trail partner this gal would be a great match! Like will all of our horses we have personally trail ridden Lily the past 90 days actually getting to know her & trying her every way possible, riding her several miles in trails by herself or with a group of friends she does great & acts the same with either, Doesn't mind being in the back of the group, leading or in the middle! It doesn't get too steep or rough for this gal, will cross/go anywhere you point her head without any hesitation crossing downed trees, water puddles & crossing rivers she is sure footed & takes her time with every step completely trusting the rider to guide the way! She also has been ridden along the country roads around our home where she has encountered farm equipment, other livestock running alongside the road(cows, horses), dogs running out barking, loud vehicles passing, ATV's. Well behaved getting a haircut, taking baths, tacking up, loading & unloading in a trailer, being shod (has 4 new kegs all around). Absolutely NO bad habits/vice we have ever seen out of her (rearing up, kicking, bucking, biting, barn weaving, cribbing or barn/buddy sour)
