Utah Man Reunited With Horse After 8 Years Apart
News General Equestrian
Zoey was just seen by a chiropractor who said he thinks the vet years ago was way off in age guess. He said she has the body of a 4 year old, however I have owned her for 7 years so I am guessing her to be about 12. He really liked her, said he sees no reason why she couldn't run barrels, do endurance, etc but she definitely needs a job, she is bored with me on occasional trail rides. She is the sweetest girl. She will stand with her nose to yours taking in your breath, walks right up for fly spray, isn't fond of bathing but with time she will get better. She is a little flighty, but that is where I think she would make a good barrel horse. She doesn't respond well to harsh hands, so a gentle soul with patience is a must for her. I will not tolerate horse flipping, so you will be required to sign a buy back contract and send me regular updates to prove she is still with you. She deserves a solid home/foundation. When I first got her she would not tolerate anyone or anything touching her rear legs due to an old barb wire injury, but after time spent with her, that has changed drastically. Make her a 60 day project, give her a job, and make her your best friend/heart horse. I will ask specific questions. must have vet reference and farrier reference. She is an extremely easy keeper, stays fat on hay all winter.
