Jake is an 18 yr old 14.3h grade quarab gelding. He has the most unique color considered as a somatic mutation that is called a bloody shoulder mark along with being a flea bitten grey. He is one of the prettiest greys I have seen.
He is great at ground work and liberty work in the round pen. SUPER smart naturally as most Arabs are. He’s easy to saddle and bridle. He is well broke and has a nice handle. I personally have found Jake is much happier in a hack or bosal than a bit. He responds better and is softer in the face. Works off the legs. Neck reins. Has a stop and I can 100% guarantee you will never get lost because he will always remember the way back to the barn. Rides bareback. Is like most Arabs and prefers a saddle that fits.
Jake is like most Arabs. He does better being used consistently or he gets a bit buddy sour. What Jake really needs is a teenager who wants to ride the pants off him every day in the mountains and in the arena. We ride him in a bosal and he doesn’t much better than in a bit. Would make a nice endurance horse for a rider with horse sense. He’s is a fun horse to work with and has that classic arab way about him. Smooth as butter ride and sharp as a tack. We see a lot of potential in him. We have been working with him alone as he is pretty consistent with a buddy.
