Amazing Rocky Mountain Mare

Gorgeous chocolate with flaxen mane and tail, 15 HH, 14 yr old Rocky Mountain Mare for sale. She is a loyal amazing trail horse that will work hard to please you. She is an “In your pocket kind of girl” and comes to greet me at the gate.

She is gaited has a beautiful 4 beat gait, canters very smooth and is sound. She is up to date on vaccinations, worming, Coggins, and floating. She is a very well maintained horse. I have taken extremely great care of her.

She has incredible ground manners. Stands great for tacking up, mounting, dismounting, farrier, grooming, bathing, haltering, fly spray, blanketing, picking feet, vet visits, 3 hr photo shoots (See photos), you name it. Chickens, dogs, cats, birds, farm animals, cars/trucks, farm equipment doesn’t bother her.

She is currently living on full pasture and outside 24/7 in Minnesota year round. She has been in a mixed herd with geldings & mares. She was stalled evenings and let out to pasture during day at a former location so she is flexible and a very easy keeper.

Loads great into trailer and enjoys going to park, camping, highlining. Will ride alone or with group. Front or back. Very calm sweet girl. Strangers will comment on how calm she is and beautiful. I always get stopped to ask what breed or color she is.

Great feet, conformation, sturdy and steady horse, great mind. She will cross logs, traverse hills, forests, go through puddles, or snow. Not spooky and a very safe mount. Rides near cars and truck, bridges, she goes where you point her. She is that kind of horse you can just read or have a picnic next to her.

She has had lots of Natural Horsemanship training and we work on biomechanics and mind set before every ride. I ride her in a snaffle and use a very light touch and she responds very well to this approach. I think she would be a wonderful horse for many people types from young to old.

I am getting out of horses as my husband sold his horse and my family needs have changed otherwise I would not be selling this amazing horse. I am looking for a forever home for her and will be picky who I sell her to. I prefer someone who will continue on our natural horsemanship style of riding. I am looking for a special owner to continue giving her the life she deserves.
