Description
Arctic is a 14 year old 15.2 hand gray Hanoverian cross gelding. He is an absolute all-rounder - the kind you don't come across often. He has tons of show experience under his belt from his early days in Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, Cross Country, and Eventing. The last few years he's been serving as a lesson and camp horse, teaching everyone from beginner kids to adult amateurs. He was comfortable coursing 3'3" with changes before stepping into his role as a schoolie, and is working his way back up there quickly and eagerly. He has second level dressage buttons, and though he's out of practice, he is more than happy to step up into that role again. He is a light, responsive ride who is neither hot nor sluggish, very bold and brave, and has a wonderful work ethic. He has nice quality lofty gaits, balanced transitions, and a natural gentle bit contact. He is chill enough to hop on and hack around the property on a loose rein, throw a friend or spouse on, or put your kid up there, but is eager and willing to play in the "big leagues" with a handy rider and can be very competitive. He is personable, will greet you in the paddock and is happy to hang out and be groomed. He gets along with everyone - ponies, donkeys, mares, geldings, etc and is middle of the road in the pecking order. He's been exposed to traffic, dogs, goats, chickens, farm equipment, you name it. He is gentle to lead and handle even for kids. He is happy to live out on pasture board or come into a stall, and keeps a nice neat stall. His height is not intimidating to kids or petite riders, but he is built solidly and takes up well so is suitable for tall or heavy riders. No prep or maintenance, in his prime age, and ready for his very own human!...Read full description
