Description

Abby Joy

Looking for a new best friend? Meet Abby, a 8y/o Grade Bay Mare approx. 14.1 hands tall, breed unsure. No bite, kick, buck, or rear, I'm confident putting my complete beginner 5 year old cousin on her, with supervision, in a pen. She's super sweet and in your pocket, she was a family horse for 5 years since she was originally broke at 3 but they moved and unfortunately couldn't take her with them. Broke pretty decent, she can do legs ques, responds to pressure, neck reins at a walk, rides bareback in halter. She's gorgeous and gets compliments from everyone everywhere we go, but she does have a good few scars, I was told from a fencing accident as a foal. All you have to do is give her a few treats and she'll love you forever. In a group and solo we've gone over all types of trails (which she loved), opened gates, pushed cows around, rode next to the highway and more. Loads well, stands tied well, will be good for a farrier once she's comfortable with them, my farrier believes at some point she's had a bad experience with one so may take some time to warm up. Easy to catch, literally just today I left her pens gate open and her first move was to go to my yard and then come up to me when I called for her, when she could've had free roam of hundreds of acres lol, thank the heavens. Eager to please and learns quite fast. She would do best in a home that has previous horse owning experience, as she will be testy at first, like a lot of horses, and then once she knows and trusts you she will be a dream. This is the first mare I've ever owned and she acted no different than the geldings I have at any point. So, if you're in the market for a horse like her, come check her out! Please get in contact only if you're serious. I'm trying to get her sold by June before my next university semester starts. Delivery available for a fee. Message me for more information or pics/vids you'd like to have. Located in Spring Branch, TX. Any offer is welcomed. Thanks!

(A lot of these were done same day, and yes, I know the tack is a horrible fit for the most part ????, my stuff is mainly for my larger geldings, I wish I had better but spending that much money for new tack for a horse I was planning to sell anyways sadly was not a possibility. However, considering how good she is in this bad getup I can only imagine how perfect she'd be in something more her fit!)

Us hanging out in my pond! We splashed around some and she loved it.

Closer photo of her being pretty in the flowers.

My 5y/o cousin waving a flag around on her, the first horse he has ever actually ridden with reins. Also at Horror trail.

Photo at part of a Halloween/Horror trail on my land, we've riden through here several times and she has seen all types of spooky things there lol.

Abby hanging out with a buddy before we went on a trail together. The kid was also a second person on Abby's back during the second half of this ride.

Eating grass in my yard without any thing on her, I only included this cause I realized I have no tackless photos lol.

Just her in tack chilling in my round pen.
