Congratulations to Georgia Armstrong on winning the Co-Championship in the SWQHA Ranch Horse Trail Futurity and 1st place in Western Pleasure and in Reining at the New Mexico State Fair 4-H Horse Show on Von Cherry. “Cherry” is the first horse Georgia broke when she was 10-years-old! She was bred and raised by Georgia’s granddaddy and Cherry is the name Georgia picked out when this adorable filly was first foaled. Cherry stands 14.3 hands, and is STOUT. She is sired by AQHA Reserve World Champion, Metallic Gun, and is out of Von’s Lena, who Abby Lengel won AQHA High Point Youth Cow Horse on. Cherry has a lot of miles in the arena and behind cattle on the 50,000-acre family ranch. She is willing, honest, and easy to track or sort cattle on. She is gentle and safe, even after time off. She lopes comfortably on a loose rein, and has flat spins, smooth lead departures, and a natural sliding stop. She is soft in a snaffle or in a curb bit, stands quietly for mounting, and you can ride her anywhere you want bareback. She is a happy horse with a great ground covering walk in big country.
