Description

2020 stud yearling; stunning palomino blanket Appaloosa stallion! Turned two years old on 2/28.

He is definitely an eye-catcher. We’re constantly receiving compliments and “wow’s” wherever we take him. He has placed in top-three at ApHC Appaloosa show and Cowboy dressage show (in-hand, as a yearling, of course).

Halter trained - he leads really well in many situations: in crowds, roadside, trails, around other horses and animals. He has been raised around kids, chickens, dogs, cats, mares, geldings and another stallion.

- ApHC registered

- DNA tested 5- panel negative

- Currently measures at 15hh

- Trailer loads quickly and easily

- Stands for Ferrier; he is barefoot

- Stands tied, leads well

- Lunges on line or in round pen

- Changes gate w/t/c with verbal cues (lunging)

- Has been saddled; takes it like a champ

- Easy to catch, he’ll come right up to you in pasture and in his corral…(follows us around like a puppy)

- Full, long, and beautiful mane and tail

- He’s very smart; loves stimulation, learning, and trying new activities. His “cool-head,” trust and willingness always impresses me!

- Currently has a great winter coat (never blanketed)

- UTD on worming and trimming

- Accepts worming paste, being hosed down/bathed

- Asking $8,000

I’ve used Clinton Anderson method for his training thus far. He leads from the left and right side, backs, yields shoulder and hip, ground ties, great desensitization (swinging ropes, tarps, plastic bags, blankets, spray bottles, etc), accepts saddle, etc. He learns really quickly, such a smart horse. He does great out in the trails (in-hand) - he isn’t scared/nervous about anything we’ve encountered. He also is really great with my mares (he has mounted one, unsure if she is in foal, but he was great and respectful to her as live cover).

I’m selling him because I am pregnant; and I need to focus my efforts on my mares and my toddler. Although he has proven to be a wonderfully easy keeper, willing learner and great horse - Stallions take more effort than I can give him at this point in my life and expansion of my family.

He’s off to an amazing start, and has limitless potential! He will be a truly great stallion, rideable and willing…or, of course, would make a phenomenal gelding. Incredible potential for showing/competitions, great confirmation and movement, nice bloodlines! SO flashy, he really catches every eye! Located in Colorado Springs, CO. $8,000
