2019 Percheron x Thoroughbred Gelding
Chestnut with lots of chrome
Currently at 15hh. Still growing.
Up to date on shots, teeth and feet.
Good ground manners, stands well for farrier & vet. Loads and unloads in trailers, both step up and ramp style. Groom all over, no touchy/tickly spots. Easy to halter, pick feet and lead.
Started on ground driving and tolerates a surcingle. Walk, trot, whoa, gee and haw started and progressing well.
Can walk, trot and canter on lunge line, or free lunging. Knows how to change directions off aids.
Great temperament.
Suitable for trails later in life, but will need at least another two years of growing before he starts riding.
He does have a conformation flaw where his pasterns in the back are long and thus are low and make the stifle straight as a result. This will prevent him from being a quality show horse, and will limit him from disciplines like jumping, etc. I have consulted with many experts, including the University of Guelph, and if working with a knowledgeable farrier either with shoes or barefoot, he has potential to be a nice trail horse, he just needs time to grow, and should be a started under saddle later in life.
Finding the right home is a must. Asking $2000 to the right home.
Will require a signed “First right of refusal”.
