Bally is a BEAUTIFUL registered 6-year-old black sabino Gypsy Vanner gelding sired by the famous GG Starbuck. He measures 14H tall and is almost as wide. A proper cob with very correct conformation, thick mane/tail, and heavy feather. He has the ideal temperament for a Gypsy Vanner – docile, reliable, and safe. If you are looking for a confidence builder, first time horse, or all-around family horse – this is your guy. He is suitable for any level of rider from beginner to advanced. You can put your friends on him who have never ridden a horse and know that Bally will be a gentleman. He has more whoa than go, which is ideal for anyone wanting a slow and relaxing ride. Ride him every day or once a month, he is the same every time and is great in new environments. Bally has been ridden Western, English, bareback, on the trails, at horse shows, and right through downtown. He is smooth, solid, and has a great stop. He knows his leads and rides off of the seat and leg. Bally has enough buttons for an advanced rider to have fun with, but is quiet enough for children and beginner riders to learn on. And at a thick 14H, he is the perfect size for children and adults. For reference, the riders in the video below are 5’6” and 5’11”. Bally has been to several horse shows and has GVHS show points in both halter and performance. Bally has been through all types of terrain from Texas to Florida. He will cross ditches, water, logs, and whatever you point him at. Rides away from the barn and other horses without a care. He is traffic safe and has been ridden in parades. You can carry a flag while riding and crack a bull whip off of him. Bally loves to be pampered and stands nicely for bathing, clipping, braiding, tacking, and hoof trimming. He keeps a clean stall and turns out nicely in a group. He is easy to catch and will meet you at the gate. He is respectful of fencing and does not push on fences or gates like many draft horses. Bally is up-to-date on shots, Coggins, floating, deworming, and hoof trimming. No vices or maintenance. You will save money on your feed and farrier bill since Bally is such an easy keeper. Grass or grass hay and a vitamin/mineral balancer. That’s it – no grain or supplements. Bally is 100% sound with tough barefoot hooves that will never need shoes. Bally is pretty close to perfect. I wish I had ten more just like him. He’s the kind of horse everyone is looking for and they are so hard to find.
