Utah Man Reunited With Horse After 8 Years Apart
News General Equestrian
She is a bay sabino and sometimes will try to gait so we think she is a Spotted Saddle Horse. I don’t make her gait so she mostly trots & canters. Someone who wanted to really harness that gait & build up muscle probably could.
She stands for farrier (sturdy, barefoot feet), rides alone or in a group, and has done a bit of everything: barrels, jumps, trails, gymkhana. Kids have done back flips off of her & all sorts of silly games.
She has no health issues & extremely easy keeper. No kick, buck, bite, etc. No funny business about her.
She has been ridden by kids exclusively but not selling as kid broke. My kids are very handy riders. Lacey has been “sitting” since the late summer. She went from riding every day to now once a week. So, probably needs a refresh.
No major vices other than being green in a sense she hasn’t been ridden a whole lot lately & don’t have perfect leg yields or flying lead changes. She’s just plain “trail” broke. She does tend to be pushy with other horses when it’s time to eat, but is not overly aggressive - she likes to eat her food in peace without others trying to push her away. I think that’s pretty typical with horses though.
I have plenty of videos of her being ridden from the summer & before. Kids & adults. She’s 14hh but my boyfriend is 5’7 and rides her fine. She is very stocky.
Located in Fayetteville, TN. I’m asking 2500.
Not interested in flippers. I am not in a rush to sell. I am only selling because I start a new job this month & her leasee moved away.
