The first thing people notice about Big John is that he is shapey with a big soft kind eye and he has a cool ranchy look about him that always gets attention. He’s also a hard to find size with great substance and presence, along with sturdy bone allowing him to go all day long. Big John has all the skills to be your best trail buddy or family horse. He will cross water, go over logs, through deep brush, and navigate bridges without having to ask him twice. He rides out alone or in a group with impeccable manners. He will tolerate any human shenanigans trail riding may bring out. In a saddle or bareback, he doesn’t care. Completely unbothered around dogs, vehicles, farm equipment and UTVs, even when they invade his personal space. John even handled the busy downtown Fort Worth Stockyards. Loads and unloads without drama. You can pick up all 4 feet easily. Good in a stall or in a pasture with other horses. He stands 15.3hh tall and weighs 1400lbs and just 12 years old!
