LOCATION: Clover, SC

Sunny D is a 6 year old Gypsy Vanner x Quarter Horse gelding standing 14.1 hands high. Everyone in the family enjoys this guy. He’s a solid partner for pony riding the little ones, fox hunting, dressage, trail riding, and everything in between. He rides English and western, and has the talent, brains, and sensibility for any discipline. Sunny knows when to go slow with the kids on his back, yet has the abilities for the more advanced riders to enjoy as well. His gaits are smooth, his personality is sweet, and his looks are picture perfect!

In the arena, Sunny D is broke well and knows his job. Under western tack, he neck reins, stops, lopes off, and rides on a loose rein. Under English tack, Sunny knows how to go in a frame and pop around small jumps. He is schooling dressage tests and would be great for both traditional and western dressage. He knows basic lateral work, has beautiful transitions, and is a comfortable and quiet ride. Sunny has done some riding lessons with our children, and has been a top choice for the kids to take on hunter paces and paper chases too!

On the trails, Sunny is reliable and safe. He will ride alone, or with a group, and has been on many hunter paces. We use Sunny when we exercise our squirrel dogs and hounds, so a transition to fox hunting will be an easy one! He crosses all obstacles and is safe with ATVs, traffic, and around big trucks.

In the barn, Sunny D is gentle and kind. He is used to the children handling him and grooming him. He stands tied and ties well to the trailer. He is happy living inside or out, and is easy to catch from the pasture. He’s an easy keeper with no vices.

All of our horses are ridden and handled by all the members of our family. Our program ensures safe, versatile, family-friendly horses & ponies for ALL disciplines and jobs! Our horses are all used to our children, their friends, guests, and family being on and around them. We trail ride, go off property, haul off to clinics and lessons, attend horse shows, camp, and more!
