Everyone meet Snickers! He is 5 years old, 15.2 hands tall and the most friendly guy you’ll ever meet. He is a quarter horse/draft cross. He shows the characteristics of the draft horse with his large feet, big bones and stocky build. Not only does he have the color and build that everyone dreams about having, he also has the ride and personality that everyone looks for in their dream horse. Snickers has never met a stranger. He is very loving, easy to catch, gets along well with other horses, hauls great, loves a bath, and is easy to shoe. Snickers has been used for trail riding, used on a small cow-calf operation, and has been used in the stock yards penning and loading cattle onto semi trucks. Snickers is simple and easy to ride so I would say he is suitable for anyone who knows the basics of riding. He one hand neck reins, side passes, backs, has a one-step lope and will take the correct lead when loping circles. When trail riding he does not hesitate with logs, mud, deep water, steep slopes or any other challenging terrain. Snickers will ride alone or in a crowd, in the front, back or middle. He has been pasture roped off of and been used to sort lots of cattle. He remains calm and collected even when the biggest bull wants to get rough with him. Nothing seems to excite him, he is patient, laid back and humble. He is an absolute favorite in our barn. If you’re looking for a once in a lifetime horse, Snickers is your guy!
