13 hands of chestnut pony perfection!!

Root beer is one broke broke, shapey, gentle pony! He is 6 yrs old, right at 13 hands and perfect is an under statement. Root beer was previously used to gather sheep and goats out of the mountains. He is extremely sure footed and the single most reliable little horse we own. He is always the same good minding and willing pony whether you ride him once a week or once a month. He has an easy walk trot and lope and a light one handed neck rein that’s perfect for the little ones. He’s been a great mount for Saylor (6 yrs old) to take to some local play days and for Kyler (8 yrs old) to track slow calves on and rope the dummy. He’s even handy for Townes (2 yrs old) to do anything lead line wise on! We frequently pony Root beer off of another horse with Townes in his back, when we go ride through the canyons and the sand dunes at the Canadian river.

Root beer is perfect for a first time starter pony on up to a kiddo that wants something to ride and step up on. He adapts to every age and level rider we put in his back.

Root beer is one you can walk up to in a big pasture swing on and ride anywhere you please. He knows some handy tricks like the curbside mount and he rides bridleless, bareback, double, triple whatever you want to throw at him he will handle and handle like the true gentleman he is!

Root beer’s ground manners are nothing short of perfect either. He ground ties, stands like a rock to saddle bath or brush, and is very respectful of even the tiniest kiddos that lead him around. Root Beer also has that fun loving, silly personality, he will literally drink your Root beer right out of the can that’s how he earned his name!
