Personally, I like a horse who's friendly and curious. One who comes out every day and loves his job, and loves me enough to take care of me in every situation.

I want a horse who I can swing a rope off of one minute, then take my toddler for a ride the next, without a question in my mind about whether it'll be safe or not.

I want a horse that's handy; you lay the rein and he gets there without dragging his feet. You pull and he stops and backs, no matter the speed he's already going.
