Meet “Prince Billy Sur Met” a 10 year old 14.2 hand brown dun Norwegian Fjord gelding. Foaled May 7, 2012 and registered with the Canadian Fjord Horse Association. Papers and signed transfer are in hand and in order. Prince is a great example of the Fjord breed and put together very well. He is built a little lighter than the other Fjord Olav that I currently have available. Prince has a gorgeous refined, dished face and big kind eyes. This guy is a beautiful mover and has perfect confirmation. He is by far one of the nicest moving Fjords I’ve ever seen. This guy is an excellent dressage prospect and would clean house in the dressage ring in my opinion. Prince is very willing and loves to work. He rides English and western but looks exceptionally well under English tack. He’s safe, quiet and a very easy ride. When you ask he does it, no hesitation and no hassle given. He has a willing work ethic but is not forward or a lot of horse. Walks, trots, canters, stops, stands, backs, moves off leg, frames up, smooth transitions and knows his leads. He’ll canter right off from a stand still on the correct lead. Frames up beautifully and collects up nicely. He is safe and quiet enough for any level rider but fun enough for a more experienced rider to have a lot of fun with and not get bored. Prince can go into any show ring or lesson program tomorrow or he can be someone’s family pleasure/trail mount. The coolest part about this gelding is he loves to jump and jumps beautifully. He’s very easy to jump and tucks his legs up beautifully. He is a jumping fool!! I think this guy would be a lot of fun on a hunter pace or he could even be made into a Fox hunter. He moves well enough and jumps nice enough to go to any horse show and win against welsh ponies or big horses in my opinion. You can also throw western tack on him and he’ll ride around safe, happily and well. He doesn’t have to be an English or jumping Fjord. Very versatile and can go do anything to be honest. His gaits are smooth and collected. Very easy to ride and I would call him pretty push button and straightforward. Prince goes around the indoor and outdoor arena like a show horse but he’ll also trail ride happily. Goes wherever you point him and is not barn sour. We have taken him all over the farm, to the state park, down the road, in the woods and gotten the mail out of the mailbox. He’s level headed and happily goes where you ask him to go. Rides in a snaffle bit with a nice soft mouth. He is not pushy or strong under saddle or on the ground. I have had my 5 year old son on him and he has walked him around under saddle by himself with no issues. I’ve also ponied my two year old son on him. He has a super sweet typical in your pocket personality and truly adores kids. He puts his head right down to their level and will take all the hugs, kisses and pats they want to give. Prince will stand on cross ties forever for grooming and lovings. He has no vices and excellent ground manners. Excellent barn and pasture manners. Gets along with all other horses and can be pastured alone. Respects wood board fence with no electric. Very neat in his stall and a great horse to have around the barn. Requires absolutely no maintenance or supplements. He is a very easy keeper. Up to date on everything and 100% sound. He’s in Excellent health with no lumps or bumps. Currently has front shoes but is completely fine barefoot if that’s your preference. This is a really cool, good looking, sweet Fjord gelding that’s quiet, versatile and athletic. He is quite fancy and will definitely win you over in five minutes with his sweet personality and especially by the way he rides. Be sure to check out his video.
