Derby is a 7yo grulla paint gelding pony. If you are looking for a trail pony deluxe that has looks, derby is your guy. He stands 11’2 hands tall and is full of sweetness. Simply just a sweetheart! Derby is a flashy little guy, and rides as good as he looks. He will cross absolutely anything you point him to. Creeks, ditches, traffic, etc are a breeze to him. He knows the barrels, and would be great for a little jr rodeo kid. With that being said, I would not recommend him for a timid rider in the arena. On a trail anyone can ride him, but in the arena he is not a lazy pony. Derby is sound, easy to catch, will stand tied as long as the day is long, stands great for farrier, and loads and unloads great. He has excellent ground manners and will please you with every encounter. Gets along great with animals and other horses, he is the low man on the totem pole. You can’t go wrong with a pony like Derby!
