LOCATION: Troup, TX

Boon is a delightful young red roan gelding that has done nothing but impress us. His laid back personality is one that you will absolutely love. But when you’re on his back, you’ll realize what a talented individual he is.

Boon has been used around the ranch checking fences and flood zones. He will cross any and everything you put in front of him. Creeks, logs, bridges, steep slopes and thick brush. We’ve prowled cattle on him and he really pays attention. Boon has been used at the sale barn to push calves and sort pairs. He’s cowy and fun to ride. He will open and close gates like a seasoned ranch horse.

Boon has been started on the heel side. We’ve roped the sled quite a bit and just started introducing him to slower cattle. He’s taking it greatly, just like we expected. He tracks cattle very good but also has the cow sense to rate. He’s in the bridle and easy to control. He’s one that could also have the size to make a head horse down the road.

If you’re looking for SHOT horse or mounted shooting, we feel Boon would also be a good candidate for that. He slow lopes the best circles and is very smooth and enjoyable to ride. This is a super nice gelding that’s broke right and could go many directions if you’re looking for a performance prospect. If not, hit that trails and get noticed every where you take him!
