I entered her in the 2007 NRF Tour Finals (held May 2008) as her first futurity and 1st SHOW and we placed 7th in the average 2D and was in the 3D - 4D all weekend and also was reserve Champion at their Speed Dash Challenge (it was back to back running).

She is a super sweet quiet mare that is very quick and catty. She can go from 0 to 110 in a second. The reason why Star has not been in more results and Winners Circles is because she was bred in 2008, 2009 and again in 2010. Her dam and sire both we really good race horses. Her dam was the fastest 2 year in Minnesota and won over $13,000 on the track. (I owned her mom for a year and she was a very nice barrel mare, sound and still loving to run at 18 and is super calm. I used both her and her mom for riding lessons - english, western and gaming!

Her 2 year old black/brown filly (out of Manors Nick Bar) is build very well and Jolene just loves riding her. She is very quick and catty and is nice to be around. Star has been ridden by lesson students for the last year and a half (while she is pregnant) and is very good for beginners. She has had a few 3 year old ride her as well as a few older ladies. If you are looking for a mare you can breed and ride - She would be perfect! She does not have any problems being moved from her baby or riding while her baby in a stall. She foaled all by herself in our pasture and took excellent care of her foal.

OR USE HER!!! She will go right back to being a 1D / 2D barrel racing mare a few months after she gets back in shape! She is a push button barrel horse that also knows all the game events. I love her first barrel - she is 100% honest and loves her job!

I rode Star this year (2011) for 7 days and then ran her at a show and won the 2D! It sad to have this nice of a horse sitting in the pasture as my priority changed from barrel racing to rasing my daughter and running / owning two businesses - Website Design and JJ Arena - riding lessons 7 days a week.

Star has also been used for English lessons and our lesson clients love her as she is happy staying in a super smooth slow trot!
