Fabulous little 15 yr old grade Palomino mare. Currently used as a lesson horse, this girl is great whether you ride her daily or monthly. Standing 14hh and a nice solid 1000 pounds, she's just the right size!!! Perfect ground manners, not pushy or stubborn. Under saddle she is what you want her to be: the perfect mellow "walk-about" horse for the beginner rider, but when you put someone with experience on her, she's still got that "get up and go" that you need. I would love to say that she's perfect, but this mare does have one bad habit---she does not stand tied. You can loop her lead rope over anything and she will stand for hours, but if she feels that pressure of being tied hard, she will fight it. Other than that, you really coudn't ask for a better horse than Dixie. Priced at $4500 firm.
