Dot is a 1998 white with brown spots, grade Appaloosa mare. She stands 14.2+1/2 hands high and is an easy keeper. (Note: She has been ridden by riders up to 5’6” tall.)
Dot has served us well as a lesson horse at our stable since the age of 4. She has been ridden English Pleasure & lower level Dressage. She has also been ridden Western, bareback and has been used in a handicapped riding program.
Dot is a nice, easy going mare that prefers to go slow in walk, trot and canter. I think that with just a little fine-tuning she would make a nice 4-H type pleasure horse. She has taught both children and adults how to ride. Although she has been used to teach beginners how to ride I don't suggest her for a beginner. She has been ridden at our stable for a long time and has not been out and about so an intermediate to advanced rider would be suggested to start with.
Dot is an easy keeper. She has been mainly kept outside with a run-in-shed, automatic waterer and fed grass mix round bales. She has lived with a small group of horses, both mares and geldings. Dot also does well in a stall.
The only reason that she is for sale is that we are getting older and have decided to start to downsize our lesson horses.
A loving home is a must.
