I have a nice older (1991) 16.3h grey broodmare for sale to the right home. Melody was my breeding program to produce babies for my own use so I was very picky in selecting her. She still has a few nice foals in her for you.
She is by German Olympic dressage Holsteiner, *Carlost and out of a Grand Prix TB jumper mare, Fleur de Guerre (War Drums and *Peveron breeding), who was accepted for a potential USET mount for Ann Kursinski before the Los Angeles Olympics.
Melody is built big and solid with a nice long neck, shoulder and hip. She is deep in the girth and wide through the chest. She has large feet and bone, but is not coarse. Melody is a nice mover with natural rhythm, impulsion and suspension and true, straight movement. She will give you extra bone and substance when breeding to a lighter breed and more refinement if breeding to a “heavier” breed.
Melody has produced three very nice babies for me. They have won in hand at Dressage at Devon (score of 78.6 %!!!) and pinned at Devon “Suitable to become Hunter”. She has given me my next string of competition mounts. I would like to sell her soon so someone can get her bred this coming breeding season. Melody has consistently produced good, sound conformation and way of going using three different studs. They are naturally fluid, free movers suitable for any sport horse discipline. (picture)
She has been broke to ride but I have just used her for breeding the last 10 years. Just asking 3000.00 because of her age to a good home. Her care and well being is very important to me so it's important that she go to the right environment. Price negotiable.
