The Arundel Equine Hospital provides state of the art technology and professional care for horses and ponies of all breeds and sporting endeavours. The practice originated in 1950 and enjoys accreditation by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as an Equine Hospital, the only one in Sussex. The ambulatory team of veterinary surgeons provides equine care across East and West Sussex and into Surrey. Partners Paul du Preez, Ed Lyall, Rob van Pelt and Matt Waterhouse are currently supported by ten veterinary surgeons, a nursing team, laboratory technicians and administrative staff. The hospital continues to develop and constantly improve its facilities which currently include full in-patient facilities with 24 hour veterinary supervision and nursing care, digital radiography, high resolution ultrasonography, videoendoscopy, nuclear scintigraphy, operating theatre and an onsite laboratory. The partners emphasise a team approach however individual veterinarians are encouraged to develop areas of interest. Cases are frequently discussed on both an informal formal basis thus sharing knowledge and experience. Veterinary surgeons are available for routine ambulatory calls as well as hospital based appointments. A 24 hour emergency service is available and referrals from other veterinary practices are always welcome. The partners look forward to the future with optimism, enthusiasm and the expectation that continued investment both in technology and personnel resources will provide an ever improving service to clients and more importantly our equine patients.
