TWH, Reg. Racking gelding-Trail Horse-perfect for any confident rider!
PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THIS AD COMPLETELY. I have NO time to spend repeating myself on the phone so read this ad about this horse-it will tell you everything you need to know about him that I know about him. This guy is a nice horse and he's priced to go He will not be any cheaper. If you are not going to show up with cash and a trailer-stay home-Im not here to give pony rides I am not a petting zoo, I do not want to discuss how many acres I have etc. but happy to talk about THIS horse. :) Im not here for you share life stories with-please leave your kiddies and dogs and extended family at HOME. I am not a horse trader barn and Im not a boarding place or kiddie camp, Im a private home and dont need 8 people running all over my property-have some manners people!!! Id rather you not like him and leave with an empty trailer than waste my time. If you are one of those sad gals who needs your hubbies approval for everything...get it before you call me or come out here. :) And due to my hours I am not avail till AFTER 7pm due to my hours (there is still daylight till almost 9 pm and I have lights) and I cant change that. Ok-all that being said...phew! :)....about the horse. This guy is 8 yo. 15.3 on tip toes....Ready for his forever home. Only quirk-ear shy-if he thinks you are going to mes with his ears he wont run off but he will avoid. Ive touched his ears with patience and cookies so it something that can be fixed with time and working with him. Good handle, nice gaits but no formal gaiting training. Ive seen him walk, running walk, single foot, pace, and canter, has some go to him but not a super hot horse-can go, then slow then go again and he's not going to fight you to go but hes no dead head or lazy either. He does not stand like a rock for mounting..he was owned by an old cowboy so he is is ready to move off as soon as your on. Needs non timid confident rider teen to adult. I AM A TIMID RIDER-I got him for me but I REALLY want a short and stout ride and drive DRAFT PONY close to ground and as wide as a couch and just happy to WALK-MIGHT trade for the right pluggy granny safe draft pony-13.2-14.2h. So now this guy has just been standing in pasture for 3 months-needs to go ASAP as I dont like feeding a horse I dont use $$$. When I got him he was under weight but has picked up great with wormer and groceries. (Have pics when I first got him he was very ribby :( Have video of him riding with former owner and my hired help when he first arrived. Please ask me for link after we've talked. No buck bolt or rear to date with this guy...BUT do keep in mind he has been standing now with no work for 3 months (as of June). Has more trail miles than horses 3 times his age and has been camped with and worked cows-not going to sit and spin or do a sliding stop due to breed but neck reins and has good handle and excellent brakes. Not a dead head, but good manners over all and friendly (just dont go for the ears). Rides alone ok, like any horse he rides better with a buddy/group-fine with other horses, middle to low guy in a herd.
First $850 with a trailer takes him home. SIGNIFICANLY reduced price and Im loosing money but not using him-he needs to go to a trail home that will enjoy a very broke younger horse that just needs a little finishing around the edges and he's doing nothing and has no horsey friends here-I bought him thinking he would be perfect for me but he's not-too tall too fast. For those who care and ask me these kind of questions he eats 11%sweet and gets hay. He is pasture kept. His feet are due for a trim-normal-nothing horrid. He comes with COGGINS and REG. Papers. He was last wormed on 6/4. Im getting over an injury not from horses, and havent been in the saddle in some time since I lost my last draft pony and Im older...so Im wanting another pluggy GRANNY SAFE slooooow draft pony. Current worming, coggins.
I AM ONLY AVAIL EVENING after 7 pm by appt for visits. You will have to bring your own tack and I wont let anyone ride on my propety without a helmet so byoh. I do have video of him riding with former owner and also my hired help when I first got him-couple months ago so you can see how he rides.
His color is FLEABITTEN GREY and those large dark marks and streaks are just his color-dark pigment-NOT scars.
The one thing I know for sure....is you cannot buy a BROKE TWH at this price..someone CONFIDENT is going to get a deal. I WILL NOT SELL HIM TO A KIDDY CAMP or HACK STABLE.
