Triple Registered 2009 AQHA
"Catch" is 15hh and still growing. She is a red dun with chrome, dorsal stripe, and leg barring. She is stocky like a QH but not huge. She is still feminine and pony-like. She is very cute and VERY sweet. Loves attention, loves to be groomed. In your pocket, puppy-dog personality. She is ALWAYS happy to see you and will knicker to you when you come to see her. She is easy to catch an will literally come to you and put her face in her halter for you. She is not herdbound and is often left in her stall alone when other horses are outside, she could really care less. Can go out alone or in a group, she is very non-confrontational with aggressive horses. She is currently out with a "bullyish" mare and just stays out of her way.
**Even though Catch has just been started under saddle, due to her calm demeanor, she will make a FANTASTIC children's project or 4-H horse. She is not spooky and is safe enough for a Novice rider to train on.***
Started under saddle this past Winter. WTC with rider quietly. Gets her leads and will go around on a loose rein without increasing speed. Rides bareback quietly. You can jump on her in her paddock and tide her with a halter on, she could care less.Trained vocally when i started her, she is very in tune with her rider. You say whoa on a loopy rein and she stops on a dime, even from a canter. Has been ridden in an indoor and outside. She is not spooky at all. She is more interested in having fun with you, than looking at things to spook at. Goes over ground poles willingly and would probably be willing to try jumping when she is older. Has had side reins on, and submits to pressure. She has a very soft mouth and is very responsive. She is learning how to flex at the poll and is learning quickly. If I still have her this Summer, I am planning to show her in a few dressage shows.
I have ridden Catch out in our hay field alone, and she was fine. She happily WTCs out in the field alone, or with a group. I think she will be a fantastic trail mount.
She has no naughty behaviors like rearing, bolting, bucking, etc. No biting, no kicking, I let children handle her(they bring her in and out with no issue) and probably they could even crawl underneath her, and she wouldn't do anything. Very respectful of space, and just wants to please. Very sweet and gentle when taking treats.
Catch is great for most things. I introduced her to the hose this week, and she had no issue with me washing her legs and/or body. I have clipped her muzzle this past summer. She is fantastic for lunging and ground driving, ties, Xties, good for vet and farrier, respects electric fence, stands to be tacked and mounted. She will be getting her teeth done this spring for the first time.
Only selling due to lack of time and too many horses. I am not in a rush to re-home her and I am only letting her go to the perfect home . Please SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!
PRICE WILL GO UP WITH MORE TRAINING
Vet records available. UTD on all vaccinations, and farrier. Vet exams welcome.
This horse is NOT available for a lease or a trial as she is only 3.
