Trained roping/ kid horse
Tippy is a 14yr old trained calf roping horse. She had been hauled to many rodeos in her early years. She is a big girl that loves attention & feed. She can be ridden by anyone & I mean anyone. She started out as my husband's roping horse then my daughter who is now 5 claimed her for playdays & she has been her horse since she was 2. She has been to lead line barrels & ran barrels. She has been a trainer for many different ages to learn to ride without having to fight because she has perfect rein. She has been on many trail rides.
My husband was roping on her in the beginning but stopped due to the farrier cutting her heals low. That caused her to develop hoof abscesses occasionally in her front left if he toe gets too long. Which also caused her to have sensitive hooves. She does not have navicular or laminitis in which we suspected she had until the vet looked her over. She needs to be shod every 4 weeks her toes grow out fast. Must have turn out or pasture for her she can't be stalled only because her hooves. She needs to have the movement avaliable or abscess could occur or swelling.
My husband has 2 younger horses that he has been starting & does not have the time to care for her as she deserves. She is the type of horse that gives 100% all of the time. Which is one reason we have retired her to heal her. She has now made a complete turn around. If you’re looking for a safe, well mannered, baby sitter that still has a lot of life in her...then she is the one. She's currently roped off of by my 12yr old & 9yr old. My 5yr old rides her just for pleasure.
If you are interested I ask you come out before I can sell her. I want to make sure she not only is what you want, but that you are what she needs also. We are not letting her go because we have to we just feel she still has a lot of life then to just be retired.
These videos are my kids that are all beginner riders & just showing how she is with kids of that level. 1st time my son ever rode bareback & 1st practice tie down for my 12yr old. Don't let these fool you this girl can work a rope & loves barrels! One that my daughter is in pasture she had a tight muscle so was walking really goofy that's not how she normally walks.
$1500.00 well worth every penny, but flexible to right home :)
**no bad habits beside she likes to be isolated from other horses. She does not fight just pins her ears back & noses so they get the idea. Currently she is let out with 3 other horses (young) & they all knows she is just a solo old lady**
