"Big John" is a 7yo saddle gelding registered Appendix (AQHA/Thoroughbred). He has the body type/size, stride and stamina of the TB breed. Used primarily to mountain camp and trail ride here in Wyoming. John has had limited "arena" training, so no big performance moves, although he neck reins and has leg on him. of course. Although rode Western, he would make a great English trail horse and look great doing it. Gentle enough for novice riders, an experience rider can take him further if desired. I am impressed with his quiet and sensible disposition, heart and ability to trot and roll along at the lope for miles. When most horses would spook and turn for the hills, he is rock steady. Dog friendly. Hauls and ALL the rest like a champ. Barefooted for 2 years. Shoes will be fine. Vetted and winter coat on. In with young geldings, mare, foal.
